1. Artist Statement

“Painting as a mean to explore the iconography of our time, rich color with a deep focus on the marriage of content and comic sequences. Mine is an image of a conversation between popular semantics and our social perception of everyday art.

Impressions of a momentum, sequences of pop-etic imagery, tropical light morphology and figurative spaces, are some of the resources with which I explore this mute dialogue.

My work intends to celebrate our morphing era. The lonely figures that I create are talking to you like the Sunday Edition would, immersed in their own reality, trying to evolve into common threads of human interaction, doing what they can to engrave a reflection of your own mental imagery.

Every situation mirrors the motion of our local story, seconds of frozen life, fragments of imagination borrowed ambiguously from everyone’s own collective front.

Fear and anxiety, l`ennui de l`amour, nature’s still awe of destiny, Byzantine sanctity adopted for the sake of our Latin realismo, impossible machines to play God or golf and surreal comic like melancholy… are some of the accomplices that help me create a perception that we are not sure that we live outside our own newsroom.”

Solicitado por las galerìas…prefiero pintar, no creo que haya palabras, ni siquiera 1000 de las mìas que describan un cuadro…enfin.
